Join us for the SafeZone Scotland Regional Event 2025!
 
This workshop-led event will focus on SafeZone's capabilities and its role in improving safety, compliance and cost-efficiency across your organisation. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with SafeZone’s features, delve into best practices, and explore strategies for how to fully integrate the platform into daily operations.
 
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (GMT+1)
 
 
πŸ‘‹ Arrival: Please report to the registration desk located in the reception area of the Annie Lennox Building at GCU to check-in and collect your lanyard. The CriticalArc team will be on-hand to direct you to the Lantern Room for the event start.

🍽️ Catering: Tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the day. A classic hot buffet lunch will be provided from the Lantern Foyer at 12:30pm.
 
🏒  Please note the following meeting rooms for this event:
 
Lantern Room: This is the location of the main stage, where the majority of the event programme will take place. It is located on the first floor of the Annie Lennox Building. 

Lantern Foyer:
This is where catering throughout the day will be served. It is a private area located just outside the Lantern Room on the first floor of the Annie Lennox Building.

Room W007:
This is the location where "Breakout 1: Preparing to Use SafeZone in Business-As-Usual" will take place. It is located on the ground floor, close to the Lantern Room, of the Annie Lennox Building and will be signposted.

🚲 By Bicycle: Glasgow city is mostly flat and cycle-friendly. On campus, you'll find lots of secure cycle racks where you can park your bike. If you don't own a bike, Glasgow offers make options to hire one. You can find out more on the You Well website


🚌 By Bus: Glasgow Caledonian University is directly opposite Glasgow's main bus terminal, Buchanan Bus Station


πŸš‡ By Underground: The university is a short walk from Cowcaddens Underground Station – great for seeing some more of the city while you are here.


πŸš† By Train: Situated in the city centre, our Glasgow campus is a 10 min stroll from Glasgow Queen Street Station and about 20 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station. Visit National Rail Enquiries Service for train times.
 

πŸš— By Car: The university is easily accessible from Junction 16 (Westbound) or Junctions 15 & 17 (Eastbound) of the M8 motorway. Although no parking is available on campus, there is ample space available at the nearby Cambridge street and Dundasvale car parks. Please follow the instructions below to claim a discount on your parking:

1. Upon your arrival at the car park, you will be issued with a ticket.
2. Take this ticket and bring it along to the event at GCU as this is where the ticket will need to be scanned.
3. The machine where your ticket can be validated is located in the Security office which is located in the William Harley building – number 8 on the campus map.
4. After your parking ticket has been scanned and your event has finished, take the ticket back to the car park where the ticket will be validated and you will be charged Β£9.00/Β£7.00 for the day.

Since 1 June, all vehicles entering the city centre zone area must meet the less-polluting emission standards or face a penalty charge. Some exemptions apply.

✈️ By Plane: Glasgow Airport is situated approximately 10 miles to the west of the City Centre, approximately 30 minutes by taxi. There is also a direct bus link to Buchanan Bus Station, which is 200 yards from the university.
