Why Attend?

Campus safety is evolving rapidly, and technology is playing a critical role in helping institutions improve response, coordination, and decision-making.

This event will bring together higher education leaders and campus safety professionals to share practical insights on strengthening safety programs through technology, data, and cross-department collaboration.

The morning session, sponsored by SafeZone, will feature perspectives from campus leadership and public safety experts, including NC A&T Chancellor James R. Martin II, Robert Hassell, Chief of Police at NC A&T, Jack Briggs, Associate Vice Chancellor at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Jim Moore, Senior Executive Consultant at CriticalArc and former ED senior leader

Following lunch, the afternoon session titled “Reimagining Campus Safety Through Technology” will focus on how innovation, data, current and emerging technologies are shaping the future of safety in higher education. This discussion is being presented in collaboration with the NC A&T College of Science and Technology and will explore how technology, research, and interdisciplinary partnerships can support more proactive approaches to prevention, communication, and coordinated response across university environments. (Geared toward NC A&T-affiliated students, staff, and faculty, but open to all.)
